Waitomo caving adventures, glow worms and adrenaline

This Waitomo caving tour is one for the adventurous. It comes with the works you’d expect from Waitomo: glowworms and caves. And so much more, like abseiling (often down waterfalls), rock climbing, stalagmites and stalagtites. 

YES, you will get wet in this tour. But that’s all part of the fun (and hot showers at the end of the tour are provided, not to worry).

This tour (Haggas Honking Holes) is a fast-paced and action-packed tour that leaves no time to be bored. A bit of bravery is required but you’re in safe hands with the guides. They know their cave and its tricks and make sure you resurface safely and with a massive grin!

By the way: Even though you won’t be able to bring your personal phones, GoPros and cameras along with you, the guides will take pictures of you in action that they’ll share with you to show around. 

Your Waitomo Accommodation

Conveniently located in the heart of Waitomo, only across the street from shops and restaurants is Waitomo Top10 Holiday Park. While it also is a campground, you’ll sleep in a comfy bed in one of their inviting Ensuite Cabins. The cabin has its own bathroom with shower. It’s equipped with a queen and single bed and a small kitchenette with a fridge, toaster, kettle and microwave as well as cutlery and dishes. Let the day run out on your own little covered deck with a glass of wine and then head over the road for dinner and a drink. You’re welcome to use all of Waitomo Top10’s facilities, which include a small swimming pool as well as a hot tub. All the Waitomo Glowworm caves and other attractions (ziplining, day spa and more) can easily be reached either on foot or within a couple minutes of driving. Easy as!
