Sightseeing with Rotorua Duck Tours

Rotorua Duck Tours isn’t just fun for the little ones but for the whole family. Kids will love the yellow sightseeing truck that is also a boat and quacks like a duck. Adults will appreciate the history of these vehicles that date back to World War II.

Painted in a friendly yellow (like a duckling), two Duck Tours cruise around Rotorua. The shorter one is 90 minutes, takes you around the city and to Lakes Tikitapu (Blue Lake) and Lake Okareka, where you change from roads to waterways.

The Tarawera & Lakes tour is two hours long and takes you to the same lakes as well as Lake Tarawera that was formed in 1886 by the eruption of the volcano with the same name.

On both Rotorua Duck Tours, you’ll learn a lot about Rotorua’s geothermal past and present and the significance the area has to the local iwi.
