Walter Peak BBQ Dinner and Lake Wakatipu Cruise

Jump on board the TSS Earnslaw, a 1912 Edwardian vintage twin screw steamboat. Launched in the same year as the Titanic, the historic vessel has hosted many guests and is still a beauty. Cruise the picturesque Lake Wakatipu to Walter Peak High Country Farm, a working farm. At the lakeshore, overlooking the water, lies Colonel’s Homestead, your lunch spot for the day.

Tuck into an array of salads, vegetables and juicy meats from the BBQ (vegetarian options are available). And make sure to leave some room for the delicious dessert selection!

Gibbston Food & Wine Tour

The nearby Gibbston Valley is most famous for its Pinot Noir. The grape thrives in Central Otago’s unique climate where it’s scorching hot in Summer and freezing in Winter. There’s usually just enough rain to tend to the vines but the area stays mostly dry with a lot of sun. Ideal conditions for Pinot Noir.
